Japanese Font, HIragino Gyosho is based on the design of Calligrapher Tanaka and is made by Jiyukobo who made the typeface by organizing the font, the thickness, the lines and image quality of it. It is designed so that the calligraphy will be fluid despite it being confined within a square frame of the imagined body. We have HIragino Gyosho W4 and W8 of the Weights. While the kaisho-tai (block style writing) is the most common thick calligraphy style of writing, the extremely thick HIragino Gyosho W8 is ideal for headings and titles of magazines and advertisements, as well as the telop (texts) for packages and televisions. The HIragino Gyosho W4 is ideal for use in texts that are originally written in the thickness of the gyosho-tai (semi-cursive style writing).
